Chancer Records was set up by musicians and producers who wanted a more effective way to develop and promote their own music online.

…run by musicians and producers who collaborate on tracks, remixes and productions. Our motivation is to work with and develop musicians to move on to bigger and better things.

…a prominent blog where artists can contribute short articles, rants or experiences.

…a platform for promoting the work of unsigned artists. Chancer Records performs well in search engines like Google so as an artist you are more likely to be spotted on our website than on your own MySpace or Facebook pages. There are lots of ways of promoting artists using the internet and social networking and we could seriously raise your profile.

Chancer Records is NOT…

…Chancer Records is not a business venture to extort money out of talented musicians. Any work is done collaboratively with the artists involved and there’s nothing to sign and nothing to pay upfront so you can just pitch in and start contributing straight away without any financial commitment.

…Currently Chancer Records is not a record label that “signs” artists. If we work with you and like your music then we will distribute your tracks online through Chancer Records and get them into web stores around the world such as iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.

Background

For musicians making modern music in the 21st Century, getting noticed is easier than it’s ever been but that’s not to say it’s easy at all.
